28 August – 4 September 2016 – Rehydrate, rehydrate, rehydrate!

28 August – 4 September 2016

Having enjoyed a lovely relaxing Saturday and a lazy Sunday morning with lots of cuddles from H, I sat down for brunch, which had been lovingly prepared by Hubby.

Mmmm, I could get used to this.

I had managed to stream a Barbra Streisand interview on CBS Sunday Morning.

I remember as a child, my Mum used to shout me if Barbra was ever on TV. It didn’t happen very often in the UK, in the 1980’s. When it did, I used to dash through the house to watch.

Sunday morning, cuddles with H, lovely food and good TV, fabulous.

[Talk about the tour, talk about the tour!!]

The interviewer eventually asked Barbra whether the tour had finished and she replied that it had.  Specifically, she said:

I’m done… I wanna go sit by my pool, look at the ocean, read a book

What? Cod, cod, cod, cod, cod!

That will teach me to be practical. Cod!

3 September 2016 – Funny Girl

A crazy night in London with my lovely family. It wasn’t Barbra singing “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “People” but I was sitting with my Mum, Sister, Aunties, Cousins, Nieces and friends. The orchestra was magical and Sheridan Smith was fantastic as Fanny Brice.

The show was followed by crazy cocktail madness. We even bumped into Darius Campbell, who played Nick Einstein, who quite happily joined in with the family photos. As it approached midnight, our numbers had dwindled down to three, so we walked to Leicester Square. As we passed a long queue outside a busy night club, the door man took one look at (beautiful) Little Sis and he invited us in, no queue, no charge.   I have no idea how long we danced or what time we arrived back to the hotel.

Wiped out from my London escapes and I’m fed up.

Sleep, take meds, do treatment, cuddle H, nursery, work, nursery, meds, and treatment, cuddle H, dinner with Hubby, sleep and repeat.
